When is the best time to go fish?

All fishing trips are carefully considered and are based on various conditions, such as tides, wind direction, wind speed, moon phase etc.

If the conditions are not favourable on the day for which a trip is booked (determined a day or two before the time), the trip could then be postponed until the conditions improve.

When do we need to pay?

A minimum deposit of 50% is required to secure a date.

The balance to be paid 24 hours before the confirmed date.

Please note that this deposit is non-refundable.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

Rescheduling a date is possible up to 7 days before your trip, and any minor changes to be made up to 48 hours in advance.

Cancellations:

  • 3–6 days before the trip date: 50% refund
  • 2 Days before the trip or less including no-show: No refund

Is bait included on the trip?

Yes, all baits are included.

Do you offer pick-up and drop-off service?

Yes, there are three options available:

  1. Meet at the designated fishing spot which is determined due to the conditions on the day (4×4 is advised).
  2. Meet at Reel Angling Adventures HQ and travel with me (no cost for the False Bay trip).
  3. Make use of the collection and drop-off service at an extra cost (calculated per km from Reel Angling Adventures HQ to your collection address and back).
Do you offer boat trips?

Yes — while we focus on shore angling, we can arrange deep sea and inshore boat trips through a trusted local partner. Just let us know during booking and we’ll handle the details.

Are there toilet facilities on the beach?

Unfortunately, most of the toilet facilities along the coast have been vandalized and are out of order, but mobile self-operating toilets will be available soon.

Must all fish be released?

Releasing fish is always encouraged to ensure the health and longivity of the species. However, withholding one or two to take home is ok, as long as the species caught is of legal size and in season to keep.
